Flying Scholarship application 2013

Thank you for your interest in learning to fly! Please read the following three paragraphs carefully

The first step is filling in this form, after which we will invite you to come and meet us so that we can find out more about you and let you know more about the flying training. We will also show you the aircraft we use for training. We only have one scholarship available at the moment so we will have to decide who to award it to, but if all goes well we hope to offer further bursaries in the near future.

To apply for the scholarship you must be over 16 years old, be prepared to join the Jersey Aero Club and to contribute to the cost of the training by paying for the fuel used on an hourly basis (Currently approximately £53.20 per hour). We would also expect the uccessful candidate to be available for media interviews and photographs because we want to raise funds to offer further scholarships. Whilst a medical examination is not necessary we may seek a medical opinion to ensure that both the successful candidate and the instructor can complete the scholarship safely.

We will not share the information on this form beyond the selection panel without your consent. We will only retain the application form of the successful applicant whose details will be shared with the Jersey Aero Club flying instructors.

Please complete the form: Flying Scholarship application 2013

Because this is a Flying Scholarship for the disabled we need to understand the nature of your disability and how we can adjust the training and the environment to ensure that you would have a safe enjoyable and successful course of training with the Jersey Aero Club.

Whilst we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer the scholarship regardless of the nature of a particular disability, we intend to be as inclusive as we can. To help us with this please describe your disability and the impact this has on your everyday life.
