Is there an age restriction?
We run different events for different age groups. Our main October day is targeted for younger children, normally aged 5 plus. We have an April day for older children/young adults.
We also provide flights for disabled adult.
Where do the HW days take place?

Is it ok to drop my child off and pick him/her up after the event?
No, we require all children to be accompanied at all times by a parent/guardian or carer
What cost is involved?
No charge is made for flights. When our Helping Wings day involves a lunch, this is provided free of charge for our guest and accompanying parent/guardian/carer. Additional lunches/refreshments will have to be paid for.
Who is allowed to go on the flight?
Helping Wings guest plus their parent/guardian or carer. Subject to availability, other family members or friends may also fly.
I am very nervous of flying. Can another adult accompany my child?
Yes
My child is wheelchair bound. Will it stop him/her taking part?
No, but please make this clear to us as it may affect the choice of aircraft we use.
How long will the flight last?
About 20 to 30 minutes.
How long before the flight do we need to arrive?
For the Helping Wings September children's day, we expect everyone to be present for the whole day of activities.
For other events or one off flights, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the flight time.
I am a pilot and would like to help. What do I have to do?

When do events take place?
Our young children’s day – Normally in October has been changed to September for 2022.
Young Adults day – Normally held in April.
Joint day with Wetwheels – held during the summer

Is there an age restriction?
Our day for young children is aimed at those between aged 5 and 12
The young adult day is aimed at 13 years old to around 25.
However, we are flexible and will adjust to suit families.
Ad-hoc flights - Anyone, whether child or adult, who would benefit from the experience.
