Helping Wings Day - Saturday 4th October 2014

Helping Wings will be running its annual day for younger children (nominally age 7 to 12) on Saturday 4th October. The day will consist of entertainment such as a magician, police dog handlers, drawing competition, etc , as well as the chance to scramble over a Jersey Airport fire truck and, of course, each child will get a flight around the island in a light aircraft.

Every child must be accompanied throughout the day by a parent, guardian, or carer. Brother and sisters are also welcome to join us and, space permitting, may also fly. We prefer the children to stay with us for the full day, starting at 10 am and finishing at around 4 pm. However we appreciate that this is not always possible.

We provide lunch for everyone free of charge for each Helping Wings child and his or her parent/guardian/carer but with a small charge of £5.00 for each additional family member. Drinks bought over the bar (no alcohol please) must be paid for at the time. No other charge is made.

At the end of the day, all our Helping Wings children will go home with a “goodie bag” including a T shirt, Helping Wings’ water bottle, and more.

In case of bad weather, our flying schedule may have to change or even be cancelled for that day. Should this be the case, we will make alternative arrangements for the flights BUT the rest of the day will go ahead as planned on the 4th of October.

We’ll need an application form completed for every child giving us as much information as possible so that the children can enjoy their day to the full. These forms are available from [email protected].
