Young People's Day - Saturday 22nd April, 2017

Our first event of the year , sponsored by the Lions Club of Jersey, for teenagers and young adults is on Saturday 22nd April at the Jersey Aero Club.

During the day, there will be the chance of a flight around the island provided by our pilots.

For those interested, we are also organising a visit to Air Traffic Control. Numbers may be limited and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Light refreshments will be served and all our Helping Wings guests will go home with a goodie bag.

Everyone will also receive a certificate with the aircraft registration and the pilot’s name.

We will offer a maximum of 25 flights that day and we will allocate them on a first come, first serve basis although, we will give preference to anyone who has not flown before with us.

The a closing date for application is Friday 15th April. Applications received after that date will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Apart for the drink included with the refreshment, any other drink must be ordered at the bar (no alcohol please) and paid for at the time. No other charge is made.

In case of bad weather, our flying schedule may have to change or even be cancelled for that day. Should this be the case, we will endeavour to make alternative arrangements for the flights but may not be able to guarantee the visit to the Air Traffic Control Tower.

Every HW guest must be accompanied throughout the day by a parent, guardian, or carer. Brothers and sisters are also welcome to join us, and, space permitting, may also fly.

We’ll need an application form completed for every entry giving us as much information as possible so that the day can be enjoyed to the full.

Applications are now closed for 2017. Please check the site for the latest info.
