Helping Wings springs back to life!
After a few years of very little activity for our bursary students, 7 of them regained their confidence when Mike Owen, UK charity Aerobility’s instructor flew with them over a three day period in April.
This coincided with our spring flying day on Sunday 21st April when our volunteer pilots flew 14 families around the island.
During the day, our Patron, His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor paid us a visit, finding time to speak to the families, pilots and volunteers. He was also able to see for himself Aerobility’s specially adapted aircraft for the lower limb disabled. H.E. was shown how to operate the hand control unit and had a long chat with Jack Brown who had not flown with
Helping Wings since 2018!
